We Energy South Oak Creek Power Plant, FGD+SCR – Client – Washington Group International/URS (EPC) – Structural Design of gas ductwork including below the hook lifting devices, connection design, existing duct stiffening and tie-in, crane pad, field assembly table, fabrication and erection specification, quantity estimate, fabrication drawing review, erector coordination, fabricated steel quantity and cost tracking; assisted EPC with ductwork layout, determination of shipping and erection method, and target pricing.
PSEG Hudson generating Station, Units 1 & 2 – Client: Shaw/Stone & Webster (EPC) – Foundation design for Spray Dry Absorbers, PJFF Baghouse, and 135 ft tall stair towers. Work included structural design of concrete filled steel pipe piles, pile caps with foundation ties, and pile supported foundation mat in site soil Class E (Seismic Design Category D).

Dominion Power, North Anna – Client: Sargent & Lundy – Structural adequacy evaluation of existing Unit 2 turbine pedestal under operating condition, to temporarily support existing and new rotors in connection with Unit 1 steam generator rotor replacement. Structural adequacy evaluation of existing turbine building foundation wall for Bigge transporter induced lateral soil pressure and vertical loads.
Dominion Power, Surry, VA – Client: Sargent & Lundy – Structural evaluation of existing pipe culvert headwall against seismic earth pressure of sloped backfill.
PSEG Power, Salem/Hope Creek – Client: Sargent & Lundy – Structural and connection design of various equipment supports, interior equipment access, and rooftop diesel generator support. Structural design of ground supported reinforced concrete mat foundation for auxiliary power supply diesel generator, and feed water pump foundation on turbine building floor.
Structural design and order of magnitude quantity estimate for feasibility study of an approximately four mile long elevated causeway over coastal and freshwater wetlands to carry a three lane access roadway. The design consisted of precast prestressed concrete superstructure on precast and alternative cast in place concrete bent caps on driven precast concrete piles.
Montebello Water Reservoir, Baltimore, MD – Client: PEI/American Infrastructure – Structural evaluation of reservoir base slab and foundations to support Manitowoc 777 crane and HS 25 truck loading. Crane and truck access on base slab were required to gain access for erection of precast concrete roof structure of the reservoir. Work also included evaluation of crane-load effect on below slab PVC pipes, and determination of crane path and placement restrictions.
